The Celluloid Buddha: An Ernie Lausten Film

All of life’s mysteries are answered in the movies. Unlocking the Mysteries of Birth and Death explores life’s philosophical intricacies from the perspective of Nichiren Buddhism. In the update of his modern classic, Daisaku Ikeda focuses the insights of Buddhism on life’s perplexing riddles, the phases of birth, aging and death.

Although The Celluloid Buddha film is based on his book, it is specifically based only on Chapter Five “Life’s Unlimited Potential” of Daisaku Ikeda’s “Unlocking the Mysteries of Birth and Death” as seen in the not-for-profit presentation on “3,000 Realms in a Single Moment” illustrated by Classic American Cinema. To see all 7 parts visit Celluloid Buddha and scroll through the timeline. Visit the website to watch the movie in its entirety.  Welcome!
